master the challeneges and mysteries of catering & event minutiae and maximize profit

I've used my fifteen years of gourmet catering, corporate catering, and event polanning to prompt our users to consider critical moments of decision about what may actually occur on the jobsite -- all of which amount to to a primer on the mysteries of "how to put a job together".

A sample of what I've included for a user to pause and consider:

Did you order enough Champagne Glasses for the Bar, The Butler Station, and the Dinner?

– or do you plan to re-wash? If so, do you have the staff to do this or will it be cheaper to just order more glasses?
Can the client pay?
Or is it coming off our profit?

– "Yes" will take you to the current state of ROI for a check-upon the current profit margin.

– "No" will take you to the glassware order dialog for Champagne Glasses

– "OK" will give you a free pass and you can dodge the dilemma until the event- when, of course, it might just haunt you.

Another one:

We see that you've ordered coat racks but no tables for the coat check...

Is this what you want? - or would you like to order tables now?

- a Yes will take you to the table ordering engine which will, then, automatically order linens and / or skirts according to your work methods.

- You will then get a check-out on coat check tickets and where the staff will come from.

- You will also get a message that will clue you in on what to do if the coat check tickets are't there.

Another one:

Your kitchen set-up has no screens ordered. You're sure that it will be blanked off from the guests?

"Yes" – on you go

"No" – takes you to a screen that orders different kinds of screens (but not Windows) for the kitchen/FOH interface.
